This work addresses the intersection between speculative fiction and false stories of evolution, allowing sexual selection to be the driver of evolution along with the incorporation of dreams and mythology. This work aims to be both accessible and empowering through the creation of new gods that are exemplify Posthuman tenents of sexual equality and playful expression. Through the use of synthetic hair and salt, the artist invites the viewer to contemplate the mystical and the quotidien domestic as a storytelling mechanism that shapes our understanding of the world around us.
As the gods cavort and twist in an endless dance, they challenge us to question our assumptions and embrace the diversity of life.
